The past three days i have been woken up at 11:25am because my stock alarm has gone off for no apparent reason. i lock my car at night, and all is well until the morning when it goes off. i cant figure it out. why in the hell would it go 8 hours with no problem THEN start going off? it doesnt make a whole lot of sense...

Do you have an aftermarket alarm system too? Because my stock alarm will go off randomly...I am wondering if there is a wiring problem between that and the aftermarket. I was wondering if anyone else had that problem...

Sorry to bring this back, but it's about time to get the beater talon ready and I'm working out a few issues. I got the car running and pulled outside, so I lock the doors and go in to bed. Early in the morning I am woke up by the alarm going off?! (I didn't know it even had anti-theft WTF). I have read a few threads about the hood and hatch switches malfunctioning. Could I just cut the wires going to the hood switch and connect them to disable it? I really don't care about the factory alarm, I just don't want it going off while it's in the parking lot at school. Also is there anything else that may set it off at random? Thanks, Dustin

people trying to break in will do it too

LOL

but i dont really know the alarm on my 1g went off randomly too

but i fixed it by ripping the whole system out

yea, my alarm always goes off at 11:28am, if the car has been locked all night. a few days after i made this post, it just sorta went away. never did find what the problem was. im pretty sure it has something to do with the lock on the driver's door. i have to lock it just right to keep the alarm from going off unexpectedly. also, there is a series of clunking noises associated with locking and unlocking my car, and if i dont let all the little clunks do their thing, the alarm goes off. is this close to what yall are experiencing?
