Hey, I just finished rebuilding the engine for me 95 Talon Tsi and I have a couple parts left over but I have no idea what they are or where they go. Take a look and let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks

First part is the throttle body spacer and it is useless weight scrap it! The second goes from the timing belt side of the head to the engine mount that is rite next to the belt. This piece is also quite useless and should be tossed too.

Exactley what they said. Keep the first piece in case you have to hoist the engine out again. Just chalk it up as another tool for later.

^^^^^^^^^^Umm where is yours on your car. It seems to be missing in your pics for some reason:D

Why I know it should stay :).

Besides I have a FWD 1G. There is no frame member in the way of letting my tranny down with a jack. And I have a 1G so the front/rear motormounts are on the engine. He has an awd. And he has a 2g. Even if he tries to remove just his transmission, the motor is held by only one mount on the driverside and there's no frame support on that side for the engine to rest. He could try using a jack or set of jacks to keep the engine there. Or he could just install that piece and make a clutch swap easy.

I've used the far passengerside intake manifold bolt as the other point for hoisting, but is still a pain vs. using that little piece of steel.
