E,
I know this is subjective, but I'm looking for some information on what to do next. Hopefully my mod list shows up at the bottom.

I have just finished installing the Aeromotive FPR and set it for 43.5. Logs seem to be decent with DSMLINK, and am now looking at what I should be installing next.

I have a 255HP fuel pump and 880 injectors sitting waiting to get installed but now sure if one should be going in before the other. Should I be installing the Fuel pump and then driving around to see that everything is good, or can I run the 880cc injectors with the stock fuel pump with the adjusted dead time and global?

Thanks

You could have installed the 255 and the 880s at the same time with the FPR. ;)

Throw em in, set the global and deadtime and start tuning for some more boost.

Hmm, Well anything over 550 or 600cc would require you to make changes in your dsmlink. I'm not too positive if you'll require a 255hp fuel pump for those injectors... But I do know unless you have supporting mods running bigger injectors, and a bigger fuel pump with a high flow fuel rail will be a bad idea. You're going to need to make sure your engine can even use that much fuel first.

You can put both in or either one at a time. Since you have dsmlink the injectors won't matter as long as you set the global and deadtime settings. And the pump won't matter since you can adjust the fuel pressure back down with the regulator you just installed.

You will have to make changes via dsmlink no matter what injectors you run if they are not stock.

The fuel pump would be for the turbo/amount of boost not the injectors.

Using that pump and even 1000cc injectors on a stock car with dsmlink is fine. The reason you have dsmlink is so you can run the injectors you want without problems. And the reason for the fuel pressure regulator is so you can run whatever pump you want.

You need to do more research.

What would be the point of even adding injectors above 550 and a bigger fuel pump on a stock engine/turbo (if it is all stock) ? Just to add all that then to tune it? If there isnt anything to make it worth while then it sounds like quite a waste really.

To get the car ready the CORRECT way for a bigger turbo and more boost. You don't put a bigger turbo on and then do the supportig mods. You do the supporting mods then the bigger turbo.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes its all to support a larger turbo down the road. I can only afford to really go one step at a time as a new house is taking all my money :p

Well I guess I have my weekend project booked as I will be changing rotors, swapping tires and changing out the injectors.

Thanks again, I figured I could run the 880s without the fuel pump installed, but wanted to confirm, as I didnt want to install it all at once and then have something go wrong and have to reinstall it back to stock parts.

Heres mod list if this helps.

You can but you have to watch the boost level as the Stock pump cant pump higher Fuel levels as is and now you have injectors larger than stock.

You have dsm link just make sure to keep an eye on everything youll be fine.

Make sure you have someone else watching it you take your eyes off the road to look at this and youll end up wrecking.

Id put the wide band in before the injectors/pump, so you can monitor how things are going now.
