I have a 91 AWD talon and I have been reading up on the debate on wiehter to do a time attack car or a drag... or both..time attack is more what I am thinking about but what does everyone else think?

If you had an EVO I'd say build a time attack car, but since it's a 1st gen AWD I'd say just go the drag race route. Not to say that it can't be a capable time attack car, but I think it's easier to make it a competitive drag car.;)

i had a evo and only did drag.... but now i got the eclipse i really wish i would have Road raced or atleas auto X'd the evo... so thats what ima do now LOL. much funer i think. and these Tein coilovers are nice!

tein is what I ordered through my work. I got the ssp1.6 front 2.0 rear with a spring rate of 504 front 392 rear. 16 point lvl damper adjment.I also ordered a 3" turbo back exhaust to replace the getto fabed 4" on there now, tubular manafold, HKS SSQV flange kit, sperco FMIC, welsbro 255 fuel pump, 1100cc injectors, venom fuel rail, evo 3 o2 housing, AEM FPR, HKS Adjustable cam gears, and a venom intake manifold. I am still debating on what turbo I want to go with for it really all depends on it i am going to time attack or drag this. either or way my main goal is to show up my coworker with his 350 Z. I am getting the mod so that I can run the BOV. as for the turbo I already have a big 16g turbo on there...I know I need to beef up the suspension alot more then what it already is so that will be my next project aside from doing a 2.3 stroker kit and cams

With no knowledge on your background, I would recommend holding off on the mods if you are planning the time attack route. With the exception if they are replacing parts that are worn out. Best mod for the car is a driver mod and staying close to stock is the best place to start. :dsm:

well this isnt my first build. I have built a 95 supra for drag. several 240's for drift, fun mostly, a sentra with a sr20det swap for auto x, and now this car for possibly time attack. So I am no novice when it comes to racing. grew up around it my whole life and have been doing it ever since.just looking for suggestions. Before I even run my first time attack or auto x I will have the motor fully built, and tuned and have the suspension up to par so that I dont have any issues.
