No start, stock boost guage in vacuum

Im having a problem with an intermittent no start. I have a stock '91 GSX. If I try to start the car after a while; for example, over night. When I turn the key to on, the stock boost guage stays in vacuum when it should go to zero and the engine will crank but will not start. If I turn the key to on and wait about twenty seconds, the boost guage will go to zero and then it will start. My guess is a bad computer. The car still runs fine, it's just really annoying having to wait to start it. If anybody has any input it would be greatly appreciated.
 
Get a REAL boost gauge.

Judging your car's startup position has nothing to do with vacuum nor any indication of it. As for the no-start, I would recommend taking 10 minutes and pulling your ECU to see if it's funky. If both of your profiles are correct, they are 1G's which are infamous for crappy ECU's. Have a look and report back, otherwise just start with the basics.
 
Take the computer out of the vehicle. Take the 4 screws out of the sides of the ECU and take the top cover off. Look around on the board to see if anything looks burnt. Look around the Caps to see if anything has leaked on to the board its self. They sometimes leak acid like fluid onto the board and will affect your cars ability to start or run properly. The caps will be on the side where the wiring harness connects to the ECU.
 
The ecu on our cars have a bunch of capacitors on them. They look like a little barrel with 2 leads that are soldered to the board. If the capacitors are bulging or have extra material around them, then they are bad. 89-94 Capacitor Replacement
