My profile is up to date, I have a rebuilt 7 bolt with squirters plugged, just broke 2100 miles.

I just drained my oil to fix a leaky oil pan and it came out very thin and mixed with coolant. I then proceeded to drain my radiator, and didn't find any oil in the coolant. The car doesn't smoke other than a little oil because of the ring gap, so I don't think its a head gasket.. When I rebuild the engine I had the head vaccum checked and it was still square, with a little bit of brenille(sp?) build up around the #4 cylinder, but nothing horrible. The block was decked. Since the rebuild the car has overheated once, and I'm still reading off a stock temp gauge

Where could this coolant be coming from? I don't see how it could be the coolant-to-oil cooler on the filter housing because there is NO oil in the coolant. I will do a compression test on the cylinders tomorrow, but I thought I would post this up while I had time.

Thanks in advance for any help, much appreciated. I'd rather not f*ck up on a huge investment of mine :toobad:

The car doesn't smoke out of the ordinary, but I guess we will find out with a comp test tomorrow. Could high (80-100)psi oil pressure at redline blow a head gasket? What about excessive coolant pressure? If the gasket is blown, or nearly blown, can I save it by "burping" the system?

It could be a headgasket. If it broke between a oil return passage and a water jacket, the water pressure is higher than the oil pressure and water would get into your oil.
