So I'm getting the serious runaround. I have a bunch of fuel upgrades that I've put together and currently installing. I've got the injectors, fuel pump, fuel rail, fuel pump rewire, ect. Heres the problem,... I have a DSMlink, but theres no one in my area to safley socket my ecu. Everyones a little to shady to trust, being that ecu are rare and not cheap. Plus I've sent like 10 emails to ecmtuning.com with no resopse. So my plan is save up to purchase another ecu to socket and have stock one for back up. But saving gets me no where with no control on the extra fuel i've installed(view profile).
So heres the big question! A happen to have a apexi AFC-2. I know this isn't the proper solution to a big fuel upgrade but can it work? Can I lean out my A/F ratio to run this set up safley? Could I dyno tune this setup to run rich in the high rpms but still avoid fuel cut? I know I cant block fuel cut like I could with DSMlink, but could I push the boundries with this set up with proper tuning? Would I have to lean out my fuel curve alot to prevent damage from running rich with alot more fuel supply? Can The AFC-2 handle this setup?
I also have a wideband o2 sensor intalled to help with the tuning( Was going to wire it into to my ecu for DSMlink). Should I increase fuel pressure at all with a piggy back? This is really a short term fix, I just want to know if it will even work untill I get the extra ecu for the DSMlink. I'm also not expecting serious hp gains, just somthing that will be run safe but with a little extra kick!
