I have been searching for a couple hours now. I am finding things that are close to my problem, but dont help too much.

I saw the write up on the SAFC tuning, but it dont help me much either.

I have an Apexi SAFC 2. List of mods are here joe77535 - Joseph Bowen's Custom Garage on CarDomain - Dayton, Texas car pictures and photos at CarDomain.com

Look at the 95 Eclipse GS-T, it does have the 98 gs-t motor in it, 660 injectors, fmic 2/5" piping, greddy 3" turbo back exhaust, afpr, greddy bov, comp cams, Aem wideband 02 sensor, Apexi SAFC 2, NGK plugs, 10mm wires, 14b turbo (havent looked at it to make sure yet), etc.....

Anyways, my SAFC 2 got reset by my son and now the car runs like crap. I have the basics setup on it, i.e. number of cylinders, karmann type, etc....

Car starts right up and idles perfect. It drives great until about 4k rpm's. Just as the turbo fully spools it back fires and wont go anymore. I have never held it there to make it keep going. As soon as i felt it and heard the backfire, I stopped, turned around and babied it back home. It runs fine until it spools and at 4k wont go anymore.

Can anyone help me with the fine tuning on my SAFC 2? Car ran perfect all the way to 7k rpm until the SAFC got reset and now im having this problem.

If you are around Houston area (im between humble and baytown), and can come by and give me a hand with it, I am willing to cover your gas and include a meal for it and everything. I just want to be able to get it back on the road, so I can get it up to the dyno shop and have it tuned 100% on a dyno.

First off you posted in the NT tuning section you want the 4g63 tuning section but seeing how I am a 4g63 guy at heart post up what you have your safc2 settings at. To be honest you shouldn't really need any help you have a wideband it's obviously going lean or rich when you hit boost. You should have the safce global setting set to compensate for the 660's vs 450 stockers and then from there you should keep in mind your turbo flows more than a stock t25 so you will need to probably add fuel up top. Then just keep an eye on yoru wideband and go from there. Aim for a moderate pump gas a/f ratio and get her running right before you try to make a power tune.:thumb:

I didnt realize I posted in the N/A forum, I am soo sorry about that.

I know at idle the a/f gauge is maxed to 18+. when it hits boost, it blinks 10 at me, so it might even be going lower then 10. rpm's are great, boost is great, no leaks (boost or vacuum), bov can be heard, i can floor it until 4k rpm, as long as i shift before then, no problems at all.

if you said your planning on getting it tuned 100% on the dyno, why not just drive it there and get it tuned?? Just drive normal and dont go speeding around town and you will be fine.

Btw you may have a vacuum leak, you shouldnt be that lean at idle.

I bet money you didn't compensate for your 660's on your global settings. I don't know off the top of my head what you would take away to compensate for 660's going from 450's but roughly 46% and change more.

Edit : by the way if it's flashing 10 and won't go any lower 10:1 is VERY rich.
