Within the past week or so my gvr4 has acquired a cold start issue. It takes between 3-5 attempts of crankin it over before it will fire up, and then i have to play with the pedal to keep it running. after about a minute, the car runs on it own. It seems like it doesnt want to kick into the high idle circuit. Any ideas?

that wire did break on me a couple weeks ago. I didnt think the issue was realted cause the start issue didnt occur until earlier this week. ill get a new sensor and see what happens(the wire broke at the sensor). thanks

that is most likely going to fix the problem. post back and let us know the results. i had the same issue a while back but it was from me being an idiot and leaving the BOV return tube disconected. HUGE boost leak!

Very similar problem but turned out to be the rubber hose from fuel pump to sending unit ruptured and wouldn't build adequate pressure. From the looks of things the broken wire sounds like a good possibility but just out of curiousity you could jump the fuel pump to make it prime and see if that changes the issue, its how I narrowed my search

it really sucks that there is no real way to know what problem you are having without checking EVERYTHING. our ECU's dont really like to let us know whats going on. like before i put my full exhaust on i has running open DP (no cat) and never got a CEL

ok...so after lookin at the wire that broke again, its the low coolant sesor on top the t-housing that broke. Not the wire for the coolant temp sensor. Anyways, new sensor is orderd and should be here soon. Also...this is a reallly funny issue. Sometime when i shut my car off and am standing near it afterwards, i hear this very strange noise (like something is hitting the gas tank). It just does it once. Whats up with that?
