Brampton,
So today I start my car and notice that its idling bad. So I started logging with dsmlink and realized that the timing was at 32 degrees when idling. I then checked my cas and t-belt and realized that the t-belt was very loose.

I'm guessing the only thing that can do this is a faulty t-belt tensioner. Can someone verify this for me.

...What I call it along with the autotensioner gap settings not at the required (5/32-11-64th) distance. Did you do a simple 5*BTDC check with grounding the ECU contact and with a timing light on No.1 plug wire?

You alway should replace all the motor components related to the T-belt on belt replacements.

Usually following this simple procedure tells a lot more than with fancy computer programs.

It could be the belt tensioner but not only that, i'd take the t-belt cover off and pull the tensioner and see if it still holds a tension, if it does then i'd say reset the timing and run it see if it loosens off again. Just my advice, if the timing was that loose it may have jumped a tooth, but i'd say pull off the cover and check everything, hope it helps.

Just replace all the timing components. Could be the adjuster. Could be a pulley broke. Could be the belt stretched. Did you have ground timing checked in DSMLink when you were looking at it? DSMLink assumes that base timing is set correctly when you have the ground timing function checked DSMLink will always show 5.2 degrees. This means in order to actually know base timing you have to hook up a timing light.
