hey guys my car has been idling high lately when it gets hot it ranges from 15-2500 rpms i was told it could be the (tps) throttle positioning sensor. but i wana know what else could be causing the problem be fore i go and change the tps and find out it was good?

LOL 25k rpms. I was about to suggest you a new motor. What does it idle at when cold? It should be in the 700-800 rpm range. If not, try adjusting your BISS screw.

I saw the title and I just had to see this car that idled at 25k RPM. I'm disappointed. :(

I vote for checking the ISC and TPS, and then once warmed up, try adjusting the BISS. Check out the VFAQs for a lot of info on idle problems.

Mine is doing the same thing, i reset my TPS to .9, still does it.

Is the BISS screw the copper one on the top, front side of the TB, if so mine is all the way in...

If you get it figured out, post what you find.

Check the ISC motor! I'm sure that if you searched for idle surge then you would have figured out the problem by now. I'd also do a boost leak test to make sure the throttle body was leaking. As far as the tps...test it to make sure that it's all the way closed and make sure the tension on the throttle cable isn't too tight.

Check out http://www.vfaq.com to find out how to test the above parts.

i just fixed this problem on my car yesterday by loosening the throttle cable, somehow mine became a little too tight and would hold the throttle plate open after the car got warm, theres two bolts on the back of the intake manifold you have to loosen to adjust the cable, might help.
