Today I was working on my girlfriends car, I installded a boost gauge and a oil pressure gauge. I ran the wires for them and everything is working. The oil pressure gauge reads over 100 psi and then settle's down to 75 or so but its rather high. Also the overdrive light is not comming on when ever you hit the button. Also when you put the car in drive it hardly moves foward. But once you stick in reverse it goes much faster, also when you step on the gas it feels like it needs a lot of effort to go foward but once you are going it has no trouble.

Where did you tap the boost gauge into, and are you sure there isn't a vacuum/boost leak coming from there? That would explain the hesitation. Now as for the O/D light, where did you run the wires for these gauges?

I ran them into the fuse box, as for the boost gauge I tapped it between the intake manifold and the fprs.

I would check the tap into the fuse box.....My car was doing the same thing and the fuse for the A/T was very touchy (Its not called transmission i think its ef4c for something) because it was tapped into for my boost gauge. So try jiggling that and make sure its tight in there.

did it cause your car to react slowly when taking off at lights and stop signs?

Ok i checked the fuses and its not hooked up in to one of those and i didn't even see that fuse listed on the cap, are there any other names for it. The lights still doesn't come on and still hardly moves foward when you step on the gas. you have to take it to about 2500 before it starts to kick in.

So I found one of the leaks, but it didn't solve the slow take off. But it still has plenty of take off in reverse. My oil pressure gauge also goes from about 25-30 to 100 as soon as I hit the gas, and stays at 100 until I stop? Why would this be? I think its hooked up fine...

Ok everythings works now we just had to rewire the oil pressure gauge. and it solved all the issuse.
