2g elbow on a 1g

Do i really have to port the 2g elbow or can i just get a 2g tb gasket and have it work fine? I just want to get the geasket and bolt it on will that work fine?

I just installed a 2g elbow last week. I ported it with my 18 year old dremel tool. It took a while but it wasn't hard. Remember smooth transitions are important. You don't want to have those right angles in the airflow. If you just don't want to do it, it's not going to break anything, but probably worth the effort.
