Walbro install guestion--- O ring

Here is my question. I just got done installing my walbro 255 and things went ok. I transferred the spacer, o-ring and end cap from the stock unit but Im not sure if things went into place the right way. The end cap would stay on the end of the pump so I placed it inside the feed line on the assembly then put the spaceer on and slide the o-ring over the spacer till it hit the bottom of the spacer. Does the o-ring actually go up inside the feed line little tube or does it sit back down with the spacer. Im sorry if this isnt to clear. Need help. Thanks

Spacer go,s first 2 o-ring 3 cap may have to trim spacer so o-ring will fit

i have that down. But does the rubber o-ring actually slide into the fuel fitting(little tube the pump goes into) or does the o-ring sit on top of the spacer against the feed tube? And the pump is pushed all the way in, the o-ring is where I can see it with the spacer.

Bringing this one back sorry. I have play between the little cap and the spacer. LIke after everything is on, I can still move it all up and down about a 1/4 inch. Maybe my spacer is too small???

What did you end up doing? I have the same thing I think it'd be good to go, but I'm kinda anal.

edit: Installed it with a little play and it works fine.
