That is what I got from a guy who said its a Dave Brode pipe. I also have a 1g BOV. That coupler looks different than the elbows I have seen. Will that work fine? Also, I need to make a trip to the auto parts store and want to know what parts I will need to get it hooked up. Clamps only?

I have bolts and a gasket for the BOV...

That looks very similar to my Brode when I had it. You will need two clamps to go with it. I put RTV on the BOV flange gasket (both sides) and made the gasket from gasket material. Though if memory serves... the coupler looks wrong... I think mine was a 45 degree elbow... and Dave got it from Napa. I ordered mine directly from Dave Brode. Otherwise... you should be good to go.

FYI, when I replaced mine my stock T25 spiked like a mofo till I adjusted the MBC down becasue the IC pipe path was suddently so much more open.

I just found this picture:

That pipe looks different. The one I have has a bend in it, so that coupler may very well work. Not sure if he redesigned it or if it's something similar. No big deal either way!

I've got a MBC on the way. Do you think I'll be alright for 3-4 days with it spiking? Most threads I have read people say they got boost spike after installing this uicp.

Did you get the pm? It was advertised as Dave Brode pipe when I bought it, the second picture looks a little different. I had no problems with installing mine. The blue coupler goes to the sidemount and it all fit fine when I had it installed. You should only need two clamps for the blue coupler and retain the stock clamp at the other end of the pipe. Good luck.

Yeah I got it. It is different than that picture I got from VFAQ, but it doesn't matter regardless what kind it is as it has the 1G flange on it :thumb:

I couldn't find any clamps big enough to fit the blue coupler. I'm wondering if I'll have to take two radiator type clamps and run them together?

I actually ended up running two clamps per side of the coupler on mine because of leaks. should be 2.5 to 2.25 inch clamps ... if memory serves.

I would recommend going to T bolt clamps over the screw type if you have the options.

spyder97gs, once you have this all setup, please post some pictures regarding fitment. e.g. how out of sight it is, how well it fits with a cone filter/intake, even the possibility of somehow sticking the stock airbox back in.

I was gonna go brode, but as of yesterday I picked up an RRE uicp, to replace my greddy uicp. The greddy is a hog, takes up so much space..

Thanks!

^ I was going to reply to your thread and tell you the long Supra SMIC install guide I did included the Brode pipe. The install doesn't look very pretty, but then again I refused to do any cutting whatsoever.

Heres a pic of when I had it in my car, but its hard to see because the pipe is black.

I don't think this is a Brode pipe but is somewhat similar minus the bend in it. I actually currently have the stock intake box but plan on going with a cone filter here soon. I'm HOPING to get it in Sunday but it may or may not happen
