well it looks to be a cyclone intake manifold off of a j-spec engine. and it has the throttle body and elbow, ics( idle control sensor) and egr valve.

just my 2 cents.

So then it's a pretty good IM then? I just got this and it was bolted up to the 6-bolt motor that I got and am in the process of getting it bored out. I'll eventually have it built and I was thinking about porting that intake and polishing the outside.

Oh also how would I find a butterfly controller for this intake. Can I get one from say autozone or something like that or is it something that I would have to buy elsewhere?

You'll have to find it elsewhere. It was only on the overseas motors. I'll ask my buddy where he found his and see if I can get you some more info on where to find them. Honestly, I'm not sure it's worth your time, but I have heard some interesting info about it working well. Do some research on it on this site, I'm sure you'll find helpful info.

It doesn't have to be the white canister. it can be any one way vacuum canister, Im using a vacuum ball from ford right now. there are lots of ways to controll how the butterflys work, but to do it the best way you will need to have dsm link, you can also use a rpm switch

It is indeed a cyclone intake manifold. It basically flows similar to a 1g manifold if you don't have control over the butterfly valves. With the butterfly valve controller supposedly it's a great midrange intake mani.

From my experince it has alot of top end also, especially if you are coming from having a 2g intake manifold.. Although i am really interested to see how it compares to the evo 3 manifold.
