rebuild start please help

Over the winter ive had the head rebuilt and purchased new gaskets and placed it all back together. Just wondering if anyine can give me some pointers of what to do and what not to do when restarting the engine after cyl head was rebuilt.

examples
-#1 piston at top
-align all timing marks
-place ruler across cam marks
-oil pump falls to the timing mark
-prime fuel lines
-etc

make sure you prime the oil system and if you put new cams in that you follow the proper breakin cycle

What do you mean by pump the lifters? and how do i do that?

by prime the oil system you mean lay new oil over the springs and etc?

should of primed them before putting them in..

i had the head mahined and new cam seals put in, so im not sure if the machinist did so. what will happen if they are not primed before the start?
Although as soon as i placed the head on the car i covered it with new oil.
