First off, i tried searching the forums and i didn't find anything related to the problem im having. Two days ago i was doing some maintenance on my car, and decided to tap my boost gauge into a different location. I previously had it tapped into the tube that goes from the bov to the intake manifold, now i have it tapped into the fps tube-->intake manifold. Now the problem is my 1g bov is no longer making any noise when i build boost shift etc as it did prior to re tapping my boost gauge. Would the change that i made cause this to happen? Another problem i have is with my stock oil pressure gauge. It is on the lowest position to the left and not moving. I found a cable that is loose next to the oil filter and i know that it is the oil pressure sender cable, but i have no idea where to plug it in.

Your wire goes onto the gold canister facing the rear of the car, its on the oil housing unit.
As for your BOV issue, it sounds like you changed it so it doesnt see vacuum.
You need to have a vacuum source for the top of your BOV, the only part of the engine that see's that is behind the throttle butterfly, and intake manifold.
I would suggest also to take out anything you dont need under the hood while your messing with the rubber lines.
An uncrushed 1g bov will open at idle, at idle you should have anywhere from 12psi vacuum(my BC272's) to 25ish for a stock DSM.

BTW, your boost guage should be setup behind the throttle body, between that and the head. That way you can see vacuum as well.

Is that the gold canister you are talking about? the nipple at the end of it is round.

Yeah, that wire slides on that "round nipple", that is your oil pressure sending unit.

It's better that you changed your boost gauge to the FPS line instead. Your BOV line should go straight from the IM nipple to the BOV nipple, thats it. Make sure there isn't a tear or hole in the vac. hose.

The sending unit clip falls off on a lot of folks' cars. Clean it up a bit, put the clip on it, and see if your gauge starts to work.

When you moved the boost gauge tap to the correct location ;), did you cap the barb on the tee fitting in the BOV line that was previously hooked to the boost gauge? If so, it may have popped the cap off. Some folks also tap their aftermarket MBC off the BOV line, but you shouldn't. It should be one line from BOV to IM with no tees. You might want to pick up some new vaccuum line, cut it to length, and replace what's there if it's got tees with caps on unused barbs.

Do a boost leak test. My 1g BOV pops above 20psi. If yours is leaking or pops at low boost, that might be part of the problem.
