1. The metal coolant line that goes into the end of the coolant pipe towards the alternator is that ok to replace with a rubber hose instead?

2. What size bolts are for the starter is the lock washers or anything else I need to know on them?

3. I removed A/C and heater core I just loop booth those hoses that went into the car together? (I might have explained that wrong but I have no time to do research)

4. I want to put a breather on my valve cover what size do I get (if there is a difference) and do I just cap the line that goes into the valve cover?

5. I have no idea how to tell these apart from on another: pure control solenoid, fuel pressure solenoid, EGR solenoid. Even with the Haynes book

Question #1- Are you talking about the water pipe leading form the pump to the lower rad hose, or the smaller coolant lines from the trubo to the housing???

It's okay to ask all five questions in one post. Really. No need to make five totally seperate posts in the same thread for each question. I've taken the liberty to fix this for you.

Ok and I will throw in one more and most stupid of all my windshield wipers are f%(ked up they like work and go all messed up directions they look like they are on cr@ck I made sure the nuts where tight thats not the problem I dunno if it is the motor or the arms or what sorry I couldnt explain in detail thanks for those who help me.

SORRY I need to get 50 post and have no other legit way to do it. (if you couldnt tell) I have no time sorry.

Question #2- 14mm for the starter. You might want to install lock washers to the bolts depending on if you have prothane motor mounts, as it tends to vibrate loose.

Question #3- Just take the heater hose and loop it from the feed to the return. Another way is to block oth sides, prefferably not using "vaccume caps" due to rupture from excessive heat.

Question #4- Don't cap any lines coming off the valve cover because you need to allow the pressure built up at the crank to escape. This is where you might want to install a catch can system.

Question #5- What do you need to know about these??

You are thinking of the wrong pipe it comes from the left end of the coolant pipe (which inserts into the water pump) to the right end. On the coolant pipe the little metal tube comes out and points downward towards the oil filter it runs under the exhaust manifold and across. And I want to replace because of rust I dont see a problem with replaceing it with a rubber hose other then heat.

The only way to replace this pipe is to weld a fitting on and run like a ss braided line.. but, why are you trying to replace this. Is it leaking, rusted..?

Your best bet is to go to the junk yard and match it up. If your in a bind you can also take a longer bolt w/ washers and nuts and basically bolt "through" until you can find the right bolts...

So you reffering to the coolant lines running form the Oil housing "sandwich" to the pipe, correct. If so, then yes its ok to replace with rubber lines as long as you have a good mounting point to secure the lines.

Well I have seen allot of different thing some people remove that valve cover fitting and some put breathers on them some put oil catch cans on what’s the different which would work more efficiently.

with the valve cover thing.. ya you can put a breather on the valve cover where the line was which came from the air filter area ( turbo intake hose ) put a filter on the valve cover and plug off the other side. As for the little pipe ya you can put a hose there. Yes you can loop the heater core hoses back to each other thats fine, you aren't gonna get any heat so i dont know why you would want to.. as far as the solenoids go i have no idea what a pure control solenoid is.. fuel regulator solenoid is on the fire wall close to the brake master cylinder, i don't remember where the egr solenoid is, but they are different both control 2 different things.

The best alternative to the breather is to install a catch can in the line going from the valve cover to the intake. This catches any oil from going into the turbo, intercooler and all your piping. If you put a breather on the end it lets unmetered air in during boost and the breather can hinder vaccum during boost creating pressure in the crankcase; hence blowing out your dipstick, etc.

Ok thanks I have another question in the book it says to use sealent for the valve cover and oil pan. My friends say they never have, but would it be a good idea to use sealent? and what type or w/e should I buy?

And hopeing some one could tell me how to tell these apart: pure control solenoid, fuel pressure solenoid, EGR solenoid. They all look the same to me the book does not go into detail. And can I just buy starter bots from Mitsubishi cause I dont want to mess this up I have done so much to the car and its looking really sweet! ALMOST RUNING!!!:laser:

There is still some questions that haven’t been answered yet thanks so far I am going to look at the wiring diagram I guess for the pure control solenoid, fuel pressure solenoid, EGR solenoid they each have different color wire a blue green red I need to tell them apart for the vacuum lines.

I think you are talking about the PURGE control solenoid. I'm pretty sure that the EGR and Purge solenoids look identifcal, but the Fuel Pressure Solenoid will have that black cap on the back of it whereas the EGR and Purge solenoids will not.

Ok well the vacuum lines are red blue green in the vacuum diagram do they match the wires that go to the purge control solenoid, fuel pressure solenoid, EGR solenoid, that have 1 wire each different color red blue and green. I just can’t tell them apart the book isn’t helping this isn’t that hard of a question…

Stop bumping your posts with the same question. Someone will either know the answer and help you, or you'll figure it out on your own. If nothing else, go to the dealership and ask them for help.

Yea your right no point in asking anything because 3 out of 7 of my questions where awnsered Ill fiqure it out on my own like always.
