Toronto,
So I pretty much wore out my breaks and now im getting a horrible pulsating feeling and my entire car starts to shake violently at high speed braking.. now i am getting a sound on the passenger side door once in a while that sounds like a very faint clinking chain or some change tumbling around... its not loud but its high pitched and sounds like clinking...

im guessing its the power window mechanism loose or something...

i also am wondering what the whooshing sound is that comes from the back of my car.... sounds like a deep whooosh and it gets louder at high speeds...

thanks a million for the help!

You may have warped a rotor.

And this could be a bad wheel bearing.

^^ Right on.

BTW, it's BRAKES, not BREAKS. Your BRAKE rotor is warped from heat build-up from your high speed braking. To avoid that, go easier on the brakes on the street.

The growling noise is a wheel bearing. Good luck, and pray that the bearing isn't seized on the axle splines.

and to fix the rotors take them to a shop to be machined or if they are under spec replace them

I know both of those too well. :barf:

My sister's eclipse had a warped rotor when she bought it. I had one wheel bearing go bad and a second is now also grinding.

Have fun getting stuff apart to replace the wheel bearing. It can be a pain, especially because of rust from road salt.

To check to see if your tie rods are bad: Lift the front of the car off of the ground, sit on the ground facing the fender so your facing directly in front of the wheel, take one hand and grab the tire at 3 o-clock position and take your left hand and grab the tire at 9 o-clock position and rock the wheel/tire back and fourth. If it clunks or knocks you probably have a bad inner or outer tierod end.

For the wheel bearing inspection: Same procedure as above but grab the tire with one hand at 12 o-clock and the other at 6 o-clock positions and see if you can rock it back and forth. There should be absolutely no play top to bottom, you will see very little when checking tie rods as you will start to actually move the steering rack and pinion gear back and fourth.
