so i snapped a belt.

Not the timing belt. But the main drive belt that runs the water pump and power steering and ac. To dark to do anything tonight but how hard is it to change the three? also I didnt get the motor hot.
 
Get a haynes repair book, it is not hard takes maybe 30 minutes for all 3 if you know what you are doing.

Make sure you unplug the positive on the battery incase you touch the alternator you wont mess the car and shock yourself.

Also make sure to check the crank pulley to see if it needs replaced and check all the other pulley for damage or separation.
 
I have a repair book. so thats no biggie. How much can I find a Crank pully for?

Im not having that great of a day. first this happens and right after I typed the first post I tripped on a shoe and hit my head on the coffe table and sprained my ankle jeesh what a day.
 
It is actually very easy to change the accessory belts. You have a: water pump-to-alternator belt, water pump-to-power steering belt, and A/C compressor belt. I cant remember which belt is infront and back but if you check out a timing belt VFAQ will detail how to change your belts and adjust the tensioners. Good luck.

sorry to steal the thread, i have my car taken apart right now and was wondering how can you tell if the crank pully need to be replaced???
 
Well Got it done took a bit of time but got it done. Checked the timing belt out and it has a new one and you can still see the Gates on the belt.

So Im off to buy Injectors Safc Fuel Pump, FPR, Cams, cam gears, and Header with external wastegate and then I will be done.

I wouldnt rely on that. I changed my old DSM's t belt at 125k, now assuming that someone had it dealer serviced at 60k, thats still 65k miles on the belt... still said mitsubishi on it, and looked pretty much brand new.

It really doesnt matter since im changing it and the cams head gasket cam gears and header all at once. in about a month.
