hey all,

Im planning on purchasing a new motor through jdmenginescorp.com

My current motor is trashed and i just dont hav the time to rip it apart...im a guy that works way too much but really needs to fix this car especially since im moving. I'd like to drive to my new location, not TOW.

JDM Engine Corp Engine Details - JDM 4G63T Turbo 6 Bolts Red Top Engine Only

anything you can throw at me for info?? its just an engine swap so nothing real big to worry about?
how long would it take to do the swap?
how much do shops charge?
should i do it myself? (thing to think about, barely have the time...)

thanks ahead of time all

when I bought my talon the pervious owners had a new engine put in and they game me the recipts. They got the motor from Kar King and had a local shop put it in they were charged $750 to swap the motor over. Just be careful what shop you bring it too because now that I have done stuff to the car I noticed the stuff the shop went cheap on and it kinda sucks. But If your busy I would say buy the motor and have a shop put it in.

Good luck I hope she's up and driving soon. :thumb:

750 sounds GOOOOD to me! lots of people were telling me swaps cost anywhere from 1k-2k. 750 would be reasonable for my pocket right now. its just hard finding shops that'll do it. For 2k, I'd be tempted to do it myself for a week worth of stress and screaming!:thumb:
