1. Ok I only have 104 miles on this motor and thinking it time do do the first oil change, should I go synthetic yet??

2. The stuttering problems only happens sometimes and it builds boost then doesn't move, also it makes like a low backfire noice during. While this is going on my AFR gauge stops reading and when the stuttering stops it comes back on. what could cause this??

3. Lastly about the data logger finally got it up and running anf I dont see where to go to check the CEL codes. Cruising I stays on but under WOT it goes off.WTF

Thanks for the help

1. IMO, absolutely go ahead and run full synthetic motor oil from now on. it's definitely not gonna hurt anything to run synthetic, and full synthetic with a quart of lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer will keep a lot of lifter tick away. btw, lucas stabilizer is really good for newly rebuilt engines as well.

2. the problem you're having sounds like phantom knock. the engine will build boost and everything will sound like its running just how it's suppose to, but the car feels really sluggish and it seems to not move. kind of like its got a rope tied to the back of it holding it back. what's actually happening is the ecu is reading slight knock but it's actually caused by the oem lifters. the ecu then pulls timing as a way of reducing the knock it's reading. usually if you let off then press the accelerator again it runs fine. is this what you are experiencing?? it's a common problem on 2G's from what i see. mine has done it since the day i bought it. but it also happens to 1G's. the only way to completely get rid of phantom knock is a set of 3G lifters.

3. i dont have a logger so i cant give you any info on this part. im sure someone else will jump on here that can answer that one for you.

If i let off it keeps doing it for a while
