Ok, so I recently purchased my '98 Spyder. At the time the top did not work, came here read the article about the motor drive pins, replaced them and all worked great... for about a month.

I had the car garaged for the past month, I break it out yesterday because it's finally a nice sunny day, go to put the top down and nothing happens.

Before when the pins were busted you could hear the motors working. Now all I hear is an initial click and then nothing. I checked the fuse, looked fine, replaced it anyway to be safe, still nothing.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Check the switch in the trunk and make sure its not on manual. You should be able to hear the motor unless it died. You could have sheared the pins again though.

Wow, thank you, it was the switch. I had no idea there was a switch, LOL. I feel like an idiot. Thank you much.

I would like to thank both Itgerish for having the problem and for spyder97gs for knowing how to fix it.

I now have a working top

Thanks again
