so i plan on having my exhaust by the end of this month, and i think im going to get this muffler.....
eBay Motors: INJEN TITANIUM TIP UNIVERSAL MUFFLER 3.00" SES300TT (item 180231337311 end time Apr-14-08 17:10:19 PDT)

and 3in piping to my cat.

What i want to know is how much do you guys expect to i should pay for a set up like this? And ik titanium makes some cars sound different, but since its only the muffler, will it sound any different?

Oh yeah, and im having a shop do it, im not doing it.

First off, thats far too much for a muffler. Go to magnaflow and pick up a 70 dollar one. Mine sounded awesome and was 3 in, high flow one. Then what I did was by a megan racing downpipe for 130, and had a muffler shop do the rest for 100. So do the math, thats cheap as hell for a full 3in exhaust.

far too much? well, its titanium. the hks muffler is like $250-$300 idk, im goin on friday to get it all measured and get a quote.

Holy expensive muffler batman!! There is no way I would pay that much for a muffler. You would be much better off going with a magnaflow or something along those lines. The shop shouldn't charge much more than $100 to bend and weld up the piping from the downpipe you linked to above.

also if i get this dowpipe, it would go straight from my exhaust, eliminates the cat, and to the o2 housing? is the o2 hosing going to fit right up ti that (2.75'')?

eBay Motors: Downpipe Eclipse GSX Talon 95-97 98 99 Down Pipe Turbo (item 250234262451 end time Apr-13-08 20:45:12 PDT)

I bought the XSPower/SSAutochrome 3" turboback, and the DP was 2.5" inlet. The bolt holes in the DP inlet flange were oval and still had to be widened (toward the pipe) to fit the stock O2 housing studs (the two studs were closer together than the DP bolt holes).

The picture shows round bolt holes. I think the stock O2 outlet is 2.25". You might have to dremel/die grind out the bolt holes to get it on, and the stock DP nuts might not clear the 2.75" pipe.

No, it doesn't replace the O2 housing. Yes, it is catless. You'll need some sort of adapter to go from the 3" DP outlet to whatever you have for a catback.

The muffler price isn't too bad when you consider the price of a magnaflow with shipping (~$100), the price of a good tip ($50) and the cut/weld/fabricate cost to put the tip on the muffler. My magnaflow twin-tip muffler, two tips, and welding cost added up to $275 and I did everything but the welding myself, but that also included welding the muffler to the axleback which you have to have done regardless of the type of muffler you choose.

By the way, the turboback I bought cost $300 shipped and came with a can-style muffler. All mirror-polished SS, perfect fitment except for the DP inlet flange hole mod.
