Hi this is my first post... I drive a 1991 gsx awd turbo and ill have pics up tomorrow... my mods are k and n filter, hacked up air can, 2.5 inch exhaust, riding on brand new toyo proxes and all new belts, clutch, and fluids... car currently has 99k miles on it and is in real good shape turbo spools up fine and quick and delievers boost smoothly. (it actually has a lot of "pick up" my old ride was a 5.0 mustang and this is quite a nice change
Maybe tomorrow i will do the boost solenoid removal for a few more psi... I have a couple of questions regarding a few things.
First the car had a slight idle surge which would go from about 1200-1500 then when the car was warm dropped to about 1100-1k and stabilized I adjusted the base idle screw so that it would idle at 800 rpm after warm I followed all the directions off of the faq idle surge checklist. We will see how that turns out tomorrow when i drive it again.
Secondly I have a power steering fluid leak coming from the top of the pump where the hose intersects the power steering pump. I believe the seal is bad or it is not torqued to correct specs. If someone could give me the torque specs?? for that nut that would be great. Or if anyone has any good ideas toward fixing this sort of a leak all ideas are welcome.(it is the nut the red arrow is pointing towards in this link if you don't know what im talking about http://members.shaw.ca/dsm.1000q/Engineprimer/1G/alt.htm)

It was at 1100 but i adjusted the bisss and now its idling great when warm. Now if someone could help me out on the power steering that would help a lot... Or should i just make a completely seperate thread for it... Something else to add about the power steering problem. The fluid currently in the resevoir is red... I was under the impression trans fluid was only red the power steering fluid i have in the garage is clear i believe but definently not red.
