Can someone recommend datalogger software and interface for module under the dash to hook up car computer to a laptop. Not sure if I am using the right terms here. Thanks.

You have options, the problem is you have only 2.

1) Pocketlogger(www.pocketlogger.com I think). Runs off of Palm Pilots. Small and compact, easy to use, has the potential to cost less than option #2... which is:

2) Technomotive Datalogger(www.tmo.com). Runs off an Windows OS on laptops. Interface is thru a com port. This was my choice because it offered a screen I can actually see, and scrolling. Problem is it's 300 dollars and lead time tends to be a little annoying.

You do have a 3rd option, which is just a $hit load of guages. But that's by far the most expensive.

If you have a 2g it all depends on the money you want to spend.

1. Pocket logger-Can only log not tune. Uses a palm Approx cost(including palm)=250-300$

2. DSMLink-Can log and tune. Requires a laptop and an EEPROM ECU. Approx cost (including laptop and ECU)=1200-1500$

3. AEM-Can log and tune. Completley replaces factory ECU. Requires laptop. Approx cost (including laptop)=1500-1700$

I think you may be able to use a Palm with the DSM Link now; instead of a laptop.

You may want to check into this though, I couldn't find it on the website.
