Toronto,
So I am looking at a 14b setup with a 190 fuel pump, 550 cc injectors and running 20 psi. Im gonna port everything possible. I want better than stock fuel control and just want to make sure shes not running lean or rich.

Is an AFC Neo overkill for what Im trying to accomplish? Would I be better off with an SAFC I or II? Or even manual air fuel control with a guauge?

Nice. So what does the socket+chip combo do with the SAFC that the stock chip+SAFC cant? I read somewhere on a VFAQ that chips dont do much.

cheers

I'm just curious as to why you would say that? I've always liked as many adjustment points as possible, especially where full boost hits and the engine reaches highest VE.

Sounds to me like he would rather save a few dollars and have the insufficient tune verse spending a couple more dollars and having the optimum tune.

For god's sake.

The bottom line is the SAFC II is a cheaper and very effective solution when compared to the NEO. They do the same thing, with slight advantages and disadvantages.
No SAFC is worth $100 more than another. You'd be better off with a different solution if you're going to spend that kind of money.

...sounds like he likes a slow car and is too cheap to make it any good blah blah blah :notgood:

I agree.:thumb:

There really isn't much difference in the NEO, SAFC II and I. Spare the money and go for the SAFC if you're only going stay with the 14b, 190lph, and 550cc injectors. The Neo is just for bling-bling image and it cannot store two boost levels, high and low.

Shopping for tuning is a flipping pain in the ass.. im getting so many different opinions.. is DSMlink a one stop solution to know whats happening and tune accordingly? If its a one stop shop Im just gonna dish out the cash for it. I dont wanna have to buy anything else. Tuning wise/

Like has already been stated before, any of the safc's would work fine for what you want to do. Just remember a datalogger is just as important before you start tuning.

If you have the money, it's the best tuning solution out there. :thumb:
