Ok i have been researching everything i can on how this is not working with my ecu. I have pictures to prove that i have been messing with it and that everything according to 2gnt is hooked up right. I have a 1996 eclipse 420a motor. When i hook up my map sensor like shown.

<br>

It makes my car run very lean. Now i did adjust the pressure settings.

<br>

it will not run right. Will make my car stall. I have hooked up the right wires.

I do have a wide-band a/f gauge. I'm trying to reduce the fuel that is thrown in my engine at 7 psi.

<a href="http://s223.photobucket.com/albums/dd180/greeneclipsers/?action=view&current=S5030645.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd180/greeneclipsers/S5030645.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<br>

Now the 2gnt said that "it maybe different for 95-96 models." can any one help me find out what is going wrong. Are the wires different then what has been said for this year?

heres what 2gnt said.

<b>
go to Sensor Type and select Pressure. Start off with In 06 & Out 06. For some unknown reason (maybe because the SAFC was NOT made for our car??) the setting In 07 & Out 07 works better in some cars.. It doesn't't depend on the year of the car <b>

<br>

Tach - solid white, no stripe
MAP - yellow with black stripe
TPS - brown with red stripe
ground - black with brown dashes
power - oversized black with grey or white stripe

is it different? what am i doing wrong here?

Car runs rich> will not idle> when not wired in map runs ok but rich as hell

Please help i have been looking all over and researching and finding stuff for 4g63 but not 420a map sensor.

I'm not a 420a pro but I do own one myself as a DD.

heres an ECU pin-out http://www.2gnt.com/www/corbin/95ECU.html

I would try a different ground ie. black wire pin 12.

From AFC Harness | Car harness
RED ------------------------2MM BLACK w/ WHITE PIN 14
GREEN -------------------WHITE PIN 8
GREY----------------------BROWN w/ RED PIN 50
BROWN-------------------BLACK PIN12
BLACK---------------------BLACK PIN12
YELLOW------------------CUT YELLOW PIN 29 TAP INTO ECU SIDE OF HARNESS
WHITE----------------------CUT YELLOW PIN 29 TAP INTO CHASSIS SIDE OF HARNESS

Make sure you check all the pin-outs and not just go by wire colors because there are repeat colors sometimes or wires get dirty and white now looks like brown ( :

Always solder and use heat shrink, please no crimpy electrical tape install also.

Soldering iron $8
Solder $4
Heat shrink Tubing $5
Soldering Flux $5
Having a Piece of mind that you wont have electrical problems down the line - Priceless

Strip wire, dip it in the flux, melt a small bead of solder onto the tip of the iron, touch the flux dipped wire end and it should coat the wire. Do the same to the other end. Then hold both together and heat it up with the iron once more and the coating on both ends will fuse together. Might have to add another little bead if theres not enough solder coated on the ends of the wire. Make sure you have the heat shrink on the wire prior to soldering otherwise you have to unsolder it, put it on and re-solder. Position heat shrink and go over it quickly with lighter and it will seal it all up and you have a professionally done wiring job.
