A friend of mine is selling a used Greddy down pipe for $50. It came off his 2g eclipse. Do you guys think that this is a good price for a used down pipe. Im a newbie and I am not sure what to do or if this is even a good deal. Some feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

Yeah he told me that it was an authentic greddy downpipe that came off his 2g gst. I checked online to try and find a greddy downpipe but i had no luck. so right now im a little confused but im going to take a look at it saturday so i can let you guys know as soon as i see it. as far as the size in not sure yet wether its 2.5" or 3" or wether its stainless steel or aluminum.

I talked to my friend and he said that he is not deffinatly sure wether its a greddy dp or not. He told me that the previous owner said it had a greddy dp so he beleived him. Its stainless steel and is a 3" pipe. Im deffinatly going to jump on this one and buy it. I guess in the end the brand name doesnt matter to much as long it flows better than the stock pipe. Thanks guys for all your input.

i have another quick question about the down pipe. can you install a dp without having done any changes to your exhaust? i have the stock exhaust so if i buy the dp will i be able to install it or have to wait till i do the rest of the exhaust?

If it's GReddy it will have a GReddy badge on it along with a carb EO nunber. With the GReddy dp (assuming it's GReddy) you would probably keep the stock cat since they are carb legal. I too have never heard of GReddy making a dp for our cars.

you can bolt the downpipe on before you get yourself a cat-back exhaust. i installed my Stillen DP onto the stock exhaust. it also eliminates the cat. it did improve horsepower, but it was much better once i got my Greddy Evo 2 cat back on there behind it.

also, im not sure but if this DP is an Apex'i then doesnt that require an Apex'i cat-back to bolt up properly??

Thanks guys for all your input. Im deffinatly going to buy it off my friend. I think ill wait though to install it just so that when i finally get a cat back system I can install the dp with it to make it really worth its wild.
