[RESOLVED] What is this and where should it plug in?

I was looking in my engine bay while adding coolant and noticed a piece with what looks like 2 vacuum line connections and then connected to the harness, it's between the air filter and head light laying loose. no idea where it's supposed to go though.

I believe that is the stock boost control solenoid...

thats the boost control solonoid. this commonly gets bypassed if you have a boost controller of your own installed

Yup thats what it is^^^^. If ## runnin an aftermarket boost controller then feel free to unplug it and throw it away.

Do you have a MBC/EBC or are you running wastegate pressure?

there was a crappy MBC on there stuck at 16PSI so I just bypassed that and am "running at manifold pressure" 10PSI should I hok that back up or stay with what I have?

If you're good with 10 psi then just leave it but if wanna turn the boost up some more get a good MBC. I favor Hallman. I'm running wastegate pressure right now and I get nothing more than 12 psi.

If you unplug it, you will have a check engine light. so dont trash it.
cap off the vacume ports and let it be. maybe hide it...

Cleaning it and pulling the restrictor out will get you 16psi, same as that stuck MBC...

Not just a BCS, but one with the restrictor intact.

Thanks alot for your help guys, now I just need to figure out my coolant problem and track down the parts to put the stock BOV back in and I'm good to go.
