head rebiuld question

this might seem like a dumb question but.... you never learn if you dont ask right? Ok so my question is... when i put the head back together, do the lash adjusters and roller/rocker arms have to go in the exact original position that i took them out?? I dont wanna put the head on without being 100 percent sure. thanx in advance peeps.

It is definately better to put everything back together in the same spot it came apart because parts wear into each other.

But, if you do mix them up, you more than likely wont have a problem. Its like putting revised lifters in - they didnt come with the head and they never cause problems when installed.

so the only thing i have to worry about is a little wear? it wont mess up my rocker arms or lash adjusters?

No problems at all. Just look over the rockers and lifters for any type of abnormal wear. If everything looks good, brake kleen it all up, bleed your lifters, and install.

I agree, you wont have a problem but in the future it is a good idea to keep parts in order including the pistions if you do a rebuild. An easy way to keep them in order is to get an empty egg carton and mark the outside of the carton.
