The wires coming off of my CAS are cut. I was under the impression the car would not run with out the Cam Angle Sensor running correctly. my car runs fine starts fine idles fine. Is this potentially harmful to my car?

As per our forum rules, don't bump your own threads. Are you sure those are your CAS wires? lead them back to the harness and see where it belongs. Also, I can't see in the picture, but is there a harness plugged into your CAS?

*edit*
It looks like you're running a 2g head, judging by the 2g thermostat housing you have there. If that is true, you may have a stock 7 bolt in there that uses the cam angle sensor under the intake cam gear and a crank angle sensor. Hence the reason why the 1G CAS is not connected and the car still runs fine.

i did not mean to break any rules. Ill keep that in mind. The wires run directly into the round object sticking out the side of the head. Why would my 2g have a 1g CAS anyways? I can not find for the life of me where the cut wires would be reconnected to, so i dont know which harness to look at or follow. I am very thankful for the help.

I bought the car with the entire passenger side fender and hood ruined from a wreck, i got the hood trunk and matching spoiler in new condition for a 100 dollars, it looks better like that then with smashed up fender and hood. I am personally short on money so unless you got a nicer one for sale for cheap im stuck wit this one.
