Hey guys I just turboed my car about a month and a half a go and everything works and runs great but i found a leak on my intake. I'm not sure if its an injector leaking or not but looking at the motor under the first injector on the intake is a wet spot. It looks to be and feels like fuel and oil mixed. The spot hasnt gottin any bigger and im changing the injectors this comming weekend but wanted some input from everyone to see what you guys think. The spot is where the lower intake bolts to the head where it flattens out after the curved part. Its the only one that has this. I figure it is just a leaky injector or something but let me know what you think Thanks

Yeah i was gonna do that when i put the new injectors in. Also does anyone think it could be a result of boost preasure. I put a filter on the valve cover to replace the hose and after about 2 3 weeks its now black from oil instaed of the blue it was when installed. Should i get a catch can and run that and the pcv line to it to keep the oil out

Yes, do get a catch can. If you do "spirited" driving often oil will get all over the engine, and everything else. BTW, how in the heck did you see that without pulling the engine?

I was messing with my fmu which is bolted where the cruise would be and looked at my injectors to see how hard it was gonna be to change. I saw the wetness on the manifold and was curious. If you were to look down between the valve cover and intake mani you can see the upper side of the lower intake. Plus i am very observant to everything with my car so that way if there are any problems that arent obvious i can fix them before they become a problem. And yopu could say i am a spirited driver and everything does kinda have an oily film everywhere, this sucks cause i show my car and have to keep cleaning it. Thanks for the suggestions so far

With the Hahn turbo kit I installed, I was supplied the small cone filter to vent crank case pressure to atmosphere. Seeing how dirty this causes it's surrounding area, I extented the filter with a hose towards the bottom of the transmission. It now only causes a dirty spot towards the bottom of the engine where I don't have to look at it. The catch-can option would be best to help keep a clean engine well which I will probably do later once I get my other components installed.

Well i cleaned off the spot today and let it run for about 15 min or so and nothing. On my way home i beat the crap out of it as usuall and the oily gassy spot came back so it only seems to happen under a load or boost. I guess its the injector spraying under preasure or something so ill let you know what happens when i put the new injectors in
