tanabe concept g muffler

so I've been looking around for an exhaust for the future. I think im just gonna do a custom set up, but have a tanabe concept g muffler. Well i found one for sale thats just the muffler off of a 3000gt vr4.

So could i cut off the hanger and piping and have my own custom exhaust made for this? i dont see why not? any help is always appreciated.
