First I would like to give a little history about my build I started a little over 2 years ago and got side tracked well I'm trying to get back on track with it and hopefully finish it. This is my first build which I am doing mostly for learning experience. One of my fellow DSM'ers told me to post what I do to know what it takes to do a build like mine. What I have is a 7 bolt bottom end stroked with mwr 2.35L stroker kit with crower connecting rods. When I did all my research for this i found that 90% say stroked motors don't suffer crankwalk like a stock one so that was my deciding factor but now more recently I've read other wise.
there is my block a year after I got it back from the machine shop with a good amount of ruse on it after being in a garage through a new england winter
.
Here is what the block has done to it from the machine shop.
Rod + main bearings -std- clevite-$95
Balance shaft removal kit-$40
ARP main studs-$62
Hot tanked-50
New freeze $plugs-$25
honed with torque plate-$160
resurface block-$75
install stroker-$100
polish and knife edge crankshaft-$80
and balanced with clutch -$200
As for the head it is a 7 bolt head from the machine shop it has
new bronze valve guides-$96
new intake valve seats-$56
new valve keepers-$48
cometic head gasket
bored intake and exhaust 1mm over-$780
gasket match port & polish-$50
resurface head-$38
radial valve angle job-$380
In the head I have Biran Crower stage 2 cams I think I might sell them for stage 4 I also have BC valve spring and retainer kit along with there 1mm over intake and exhaust valves. As for what I want I'm building and seeing where I end up like I said this is a learning experience for me please give me advice and comments
