[RESOLVED] moving oild pressure

i don't know if it is normal...
when i am not driving my car... or after driving it...
stock oil pressure guage read 1/3 to the Low side... which i think it is low...
and when i push gas... it will go back to the first line right at the handle of the oil container logo. which supposing to be normal...

is there anything wrong?
also i am about to do an oil flush...
is that drain the old oil and then put some cheap oil let the engine idle for 10,15min
drain those oil and put in new oil?
should I keep the old oil filter first and then when I put in the good oil, put in a new oil filter?

being below the bottom mark is ok when at idle , as the motor increases in rpm's it causes the oil pump to pump harder which will cause the oil pressure to rise , as far as doing a oil flush I would change the filter each time you change the oil , just by cheap filters. At most of your local auto parts houses they sell commercial oil filters for their local shops that they service and at a hella reduced rate i.e. fram $5.30 their commercial filter $1.35 all you have to do in most cases is just ask for one of these filters and they should hook you up. hopefully this helps

So, it is fine to have lower oil pressure at idle?
so how much oil should I put in the engine?

Im pretty sure its like 4.5 qts but check your manual or chiltons just to make sure and yeah my car is below the line too when im at idle its ok nothing to stress about

I would suggest picking up a Chiltons manual for your car. It will tell you where everything on the car is and tell you how to perform a compression test on the car.

its hard to explain some of this stuff without doing it well atleast it is for me your best bet on finding that fuse is to go get the manual your gonna need it for other things in the future anyways I promise hahahaha
