OK, I Want to shoot myself in the head righr now( not really). ok well i needed a jump, so a buddy of mine got his cables and connected them to his batteryr , i got the other side and connected them to my battery......... i connected them backwards! yea i know. well, my car started to smoke under the pannel and now its doing a whole bunch of wierd shi*. like ill turn my lights on, and my horn will sound. my car will not start, but it will turn over. what could it be. ??????? someone help please!!!!

This happened the night before I was about to buy a mint 99 GSX. Stupid dealers.:toobad: Anyway...It would only run on two cylnders and the alternator got shot plus the same thing with the lights and horn. They tried everything. Long story short they ended up replacing the ECU and that fixed it. Im not positive if this is your problem but I hope this helps you. :dsm:

Depending on how long you left it connected, check the Alt fuse under the hood and have the alternator checked as well as try to swap an ECU with a friend. Try different things before you start buying everything trying to track down a problem.
