ok so i just bought a 95 gst maybe 2 weeks ago. there are a few things that needs to be fixed before i can drive it all the time and i just got the parts in so we are planning on fixing it this weekend. but what i am wondering is if there are any "secrets" or thinks i can do with the stock car. or it is for the most part stock i think the only mods are the blow off valve and maybe the exhaust. but is there anything else i can do with out spending money since im broke from the car and now the parts....

oh also when i bought the car the speedometer didnt work so is there any way to tell if it is the sensor or the cable or how i know what needs to be replaced other then tearing the car apart?

thank you so much for the help and im glad i found this forum becuase it is by far the best i have seen. :thumb: keep up the good work everyone and thank you for your help LOL

http://www.vfaq.com will help you out.

Also, read the Tech Articles here and the Upgrade Paths here. You'll find that maintenance and monitoring equipment (gauges, loggers, etc.) are highly recommended before the go-fast bits.

You can do a few things. You can rewire the stock fuel pump, remove the boost control solenoid on the passenger side frame rail, make your own manual boost controller, and you can port numerous things to help your turbo spool quicker and flow better. I believe there is a vehicle speed sensor on the tranny.Welcome to the best dsm forum on the net:thumb:

+1 for the boost control solenoid mod as one of the best "free power" mods. I'd also recommend changing the transmission oil and motor oil w/ some good stuff too;) [falls under maintenance, but just emphasizing]
