I just got done installing my AEM WIDEBAND. I installed the o2 sensonr right where my rear one used to be..there is a white cable and a blue cable..do I have to connect these two cables or can I leave them alone?..I connected the black and the red for the gauge to turn on..I know that the white one goes to the white cable that comes from the ecu that went to the old o2..if i dont hook it up will the gauge not work properly? thanks in advanced guys..:thumb:

Analog output: The white wire is a 0-5v output. This will output the same voltage as is input to the gauge on the orange wire.

Serial output: The Blue wire output can be used for data logging when an EFI system is not accessible. To run the data stream, a RS-232 (DB-9) shall be purchased.

Well you could use the white wire to replace the signal to your ecu since you are replacing your stock o2 sensor. Im not sure what AEM recomends but normally the wide band is closer to the DP. I dont know exactly where the 2nd o2 is on the 2's. But to answer your question make sure ther is no loose ends on the wire and you dont have to worry about them.

Are you still running a catalytic converter? If you are then the wideband is going to be useless because the cat. will change the readings. AEM recommends that the O2 sensor be placed 36" downstream from the turbo I believe, but it must not be placed after a cat. conv. The blue wire is for a serial connection for a logger. You can just wrap some electrical tape around the end and you will be fine. The white wire is a analog output wire. The UEGO can be set to 5 different settings for that analog output wire. If you want to mimic either of the stock sensors it will have to be set to the 0v-1v narrowband setting. You go to the AEM website to download the instructions for the exactly setting you need. It's fairly simple twist of a screw. If you just replace one of the sensors with the wideband and don't hook it up you will get a CEL so this white wire should be hooked up. I know on my 1G I didn't have problems with CEL codes for the O2 heater circuit but you may have a problem on a 2G I'm not sure.

thanks for the info guys..I do not have a cat that's why I installed the wideband sensor where my rear o2 used to be..I will hook up the white cable of the wideband to the white cable coming out of the ecu..thanks again guys..:thumb:
