So I just finished my N/T conversion to turbo. I have a T3/T4 60 trim turbonetics turbo. Treadstone Manifold, Evolution wastegate, Greddy Type-S BOV. RC 550 injectors. I am currently still running stock N/T MAF and N/T ECU. 1st off, I'm having a lot of problems getting the car to even idle good on a consistent basis. My guess on that is the MAF??? However, when it does run and I go to test drive it, it is smooth right up until it is just about to boost. As soon as it tries to, the car jerks violently almost as if I hit a rev limiter or fuel cut or something. I don't think its fuel cut. I'm thinking possible vacuum/boost leak. Let me know what you guys think and things you think I should do or get. Obviously a AFC would be beneficial at this point. Thanks in advance for all the input I know I will get from this awesome site!!! :thumb:

It wont idle because you dont have the compensation for the injectors. Does it shoot out black smoke when it starts to boost or is there no change in exhaust color. A logger would help narrow the problem also.

I don't think there is any change in the exhaust color. I do know that it is running very rich though.

congrats on the turbo. But seriously. You dont have a logger, no means to compensate for the MUCH larger injectors, no way to really control anything going on with the enigine. WTF Unless you want to blow something up dont even crank her up again until you get everything you need. I dont think the n/t ecu can properly run the engine when she goes from suck to blow (vac to boost). And the n/t maf cant handle that kind of airflow. get a turbo ecu or a stand alone unit and get a gm, 1g or 2g maf to read airflow.

Thanks for the input guys. Got a friend who works for a towing/salvage yard and he's gonna hook me up with a turbo ECU and either a 1g turbo MAF or the 2g MAF, just depends which car the boss will let him get parts from. So i'll try that and see how it goes. I expect probably a lot better :D

Not sayin this is the best thing to do but if you like you put the stock injectors back and run it with those in there. This only a suggestion not recomandation. Like everyone else says get your yuning devices and take your time.

Good Luck!!
