I have a sneaking suspicion that my fuel pump is on its way out. The car starts fine before driving it. Afterwards, it will start, rpms will drop instantly, its sputters and stalls, all within about a 2 second window. Problem is, I don't know what I want to replace it with, the walbro 190lph or the 255hp. the car is a daily driver, but I intend on tuning it to hit about 300 to 400hp... Can you guys give me some idea as to which would be better? I know I will probably have to rewire the fuel pump either way I go, so thats no big deal. And I realize that if I ever get another DSM as a daily driver and buy the 255hp, it gives me room to go past the 400hp max I want from this car.

Also, if I install either walbro pump, do I need to upgrade my injectors to a larger size, or could I still use stock ones for now?

From ### i see its a n/t and you already have 550cc injectors so you already have bigger injectors, are future plans turboing the car??? Is that why the goal is 300 to 400hp?

Problem solved, wasn't the fuel pump as I thought. Turned out that when I installed my failsafe thermostat, one of the vacuum lines that run from the housing to the top of the throttle body (above the BISS) hardened and broke. fixed it tonight, and the car runs better, minus the idle surge. Picked up an ISC from the yard and it was bad also...

As for turboing the car, I am probably going to buy another block from the yard that is already turbo and do a rebuild/swap on it, then build up the one I have as a stronger N/T, just in case we see $5-6 a gallon at the pumps...

I really should edit my profile, I don't believe the injectors are 550 cc...I suspect that the guy just wanted to get rid of the car and told me that to sell it easier...gotta pull them and take a look at the numbers on the side....
