Just thought I'd share these...

I drove my car, while waiting on my clutch to show up, to the point where it ALMOST wouldn't move under its own power...

NOT what I wanted to do, but I didn't have any other choice...

Stock flywheel, complete with some nasty cracks:

Stock clutch disc, worn down PAST the rivets:

Like I said, no real reason to be posting these, I just thought I'd share.
Look closely, and you can see the grooves on the friction surface of my pressure plate...YIKES!! They were deep enough that a marble would roll perfectly in them:

You did a number on that thing it looks worse than my centerforce. This clutch still worked but at 40,000 miles of drag and road racing it wouldn't hold over 315 lb-ft of torque and it slipped bad on the dyno.

LOL

I cringed every time I started the car....

I'm lucky that I only live 1.2 miles from where I work....
Clutch was slippin' so bad that I could only get the car moving on a LEVEL surface. And even then, it'd take me almost 30 seconds to get up to 30 mph...

Then, of course, since I'm putzin' along, every kid with a Civic and a cheap muffler wants to race...LOL

But MAN, when I dropped that tranny and unbolted the pressure plate.....I knew it was baaaaad, but I didn't know it'd look like that!!

You definitely pushed that clutch way passed where it was supposed to go. I don't think I have ever gotten to the point where rivets dig groves in things.

im glad nothing else got messed up, damn

No doubt man, NO doubt.

Sooo much nicer now that everything's fixed. Still have to fix my GReddy B-Spec II tho....while workin on the clutch for a few evenings the boost controller got reset...

Now I've GOT to keep my foot out of it, or that T3/T4 hits 25 lbs of boost, and I just KNOW I'm runnin' lean at that point....

I don't yet have the fuel for 25 lbs...

One thing after another I tell ya....LOL

Looks like my stock flywheel aswell but my pressure plate wasen't so lucky:notgood::beatentodeath:

Holy shiot, dude!! I know that TOTALLY woulda happened to me if I hadn't replaced my stuff when I did.

Wow man, and look at that bellhousing!!

**cringe**

I'm sorry you had to go thru that!!

Aye, brings back old memories. When I was 18 and I just got the talon I met a chic. It was this fling that never followed through, anyway went to pick up a letter she left in her mailbox and my clutch slipped to death. It's been slipping but it gave out right at her mailbox. LOL, I was panicing trying to get the bi*** out because it was midnight and I didn't want her to see me there. Long ass dark road too, about a mile long. Thankfully reverse still had some meat on it, reversed all the way out and broke down at a church.

Yeah dude, compared to what I had, I could've used your old stuff as an upgrade, LOL

I still can't believe how bad my stuff was when I finally pulled it off the car...
