Want some opinions on this motor ?

I might buy this motor....supposedly rebuilt, head shaved 3 thousands, new timing belt water pump etc. 6 bolt. The car had boost controller disconnected and 560 injectors. Idle surged like a sonofa &*$. 150 lb of compression across.
He ran it for 1k miles....at 24lbs of boost. no datalogger, just afc.

TWO spark plugs were missing the inside porcelain around the electrode, porcelain was GONZO busted right away. What causes this ? should i stay away from this mtr?

Idle surging from injectors and boost leak?

yeah, if he doesnt want much it might be worth it and worst case you have it as a core, if he wants top dollar I would shy away from it. Hence "does he want $2 or $2000" kind of asking if he wants a shit ton of cash or its pretty cheap.

yeah i am......24 lbs of boost on stock 14b...no dataloggin....i wonjder what this could of effed up

the porcelain off the plugs is what worries me.....

Receipts for any work ? Any proof at all ? What is sellers rep ? Engine still in car ? If not pull off oilpan and look around . If so pull valve cover , look around . Does it look rebuilt on outside . Should be pretty clean still . Timing components should be new if it was done correctly .

didnt ask for ne recepits, but the head looked new (hotanked). used a mls headgasket

If the motor is in the running condition i would get it but offer him a couple hundred less, and worst case scenerio you have a 6 bolt as a project motor, tear it apart and if you want to make it stronger( in case its not) just keep adding parts to it as time goes by, without putting it in the car. (at least thats what i plan on doing soon)
