hello. i have a 90 plymouth laser turbo. motor is stock. mileage now is 201k. last year the engine started smoking when it was idling, then when i took off is would blow a large puff of smoke (blue). so i bought a new turbo and header off ebay from xs power a.k.a. ss auto chrome i believe. after installing this it seemed to help a little. now that the car sat for a while and iam now driving it again the smking seems to be getting worse. so after all that typing my question is..my thoughts are that the valve seals are bad. so i have bought a new head to bolt on this motor. when motor is dissasembled iam going to put new rings, rod and main bearings, balancer elimnator kit. yesterday i was looking and noticed the intake boot for the turbo inlet was kinda loose. so i put a new rubber gasket on turbo housing and was looking in the inlet hose and noticed it has a good coating of oil in there. and also it looked like oil has been getting to the turbo. so now im questioning if the turbo is going bad already. can bad valve seals or worse case piston rings allow oil to enter the inlet piping on the turbo?
