plugs gapped to small

If the gap is much smaller than stock then your car will misfire and have preignition because, the plug will clear the gap because there is so little resistance, which is the gap. The car will start but not run a optimal performance.

Your going to foul out plugs from being gapped incorrectly. You will waste gas, and you will have some form of running problems. Go buy a decent set, check the gap and all will be good with the world. Dont let problems start on DSM's or thats all you will have.

Why do you ask? The main reason for closing the gap is to keep the spark from blowing out when running high boost. If the gap is too small the spark will be weak and likely won't ignite all the fuel in the cylinder.
