Hey guys what is better to get a AEM WIDEBAND AIR/FUEL GAUGE OR a APEXI NEO? I dont know would one is better so i need help from you guys?

They are two different things. The WBO2 tells you your air-fuel ratio which is needed to do a good job of tuning. The Neo is a fuel controller that allows you to tune in the first place. You want both a tuning device (like Neo) and a way to tell if your tune is good (WBO2).

You should ideally get both at the same time, especially since you don't have a logger (which should be purchased at the same time or before the other two). You don't want to be blind tuning, which is what would happen if you bought the S-AFC. The wideband would be the better purchase, but will be useless without a way to control your air/fuel ratio.

So just save up your money and get those three items at the same time.

I'll second the A/F Gauge, as tuning with the Neo will blow your engine if you don't have good readings on a wideband O2 sensor. If you must choose between the two, skip the NEO. If price is of concern but close, get a wideband solution and an older model a/f tuner as an alternative for less $$.

If you are saving up the money for all 3 then just get DSMLink instead. You can tune very well using DSMLink without a wideband, and you have much more control over the tune than AFC & logger.

But if you don't have the $550 for DSMLink then get an AFC & logger first. Try the classifieds here. I got one a while back for under $200. You can tune using knock threshold if you have a logger and watching O2 voltage, but that is such a PITA. I ended up just getting DSMLink then a wideband a few months later. Do it first and save yourself the headache IMO...if you have the money. :thumb:

I agree with wideband first. I think it should be the first upgrade for any dsm. I would know the hard way, I burnt a valve with minimal knock because I was running lean tuning off a logger alone.

I would get the wbo2 first. That way you always know your afr and you wont destroy the motor later down the road with mods. Dsmlink is the best way to go for tuning in most situations. If you can afford it, go with it. SAFC is good but dsmlink is way better.

I have a AFPR and I just want something to tell me my a/f ratio and I have not put my afpr on I want to get the a/f ratio first. So the wideband would be good for that and the safc doesnt do that.:dsm::thumb:

I think for rigth now i will get the wideband and then later i will buy the apexi NEO.
