i just swapped my engine....what oil should i use can i use synthetic?like 10-30 mobil one or something different to break it in?

what auto tranny fluid, tranfer case and rear diff fluid do u guys use that work great for you?

any tips on what to do before turning it over?

thanks:D

no problem with starting out with synthectic. trick i learned, take out spark plugs, pour in a little (i mean very little) oil into each cylinder. crank the motor by hand a couple times and start away. i didn't do the hand crank and worked fine. you have to imagine, cranking a dry metal on metal at the rate a starter does. at least with pouring the oil on the top of the piston, you get some kind of cylinder lubrication. oh make sure you leave injectors unplugged and crank for a while to build oil pressure. then.... happy starting.

i guess it would help if i answered the question... i use mobil 1. used to use redline. i haven't noticed any difference as of yet....
