My car runs like garbage.

When i start it up the exhaust sounds choppy and if i try and drive it it bogs and shakes.

any ideas?

Start with the basics,
Pull out your spark plugs and visually inspect them four fouling or any dammage.
Run a compression test on the engine while they are out.

Get back to us after you do that.

I already did plugs and wires VERY recently

It has a walbro 255

it was running dsmlink before i bought it and the guy took it off and put on the stock ecu.. so im guessing thats my problem..

it has

14b
MBC
FMIC

Does the car have a AFPR to keep that 255 in check? And do you know what size injectors are on the car?

yes but im a noob when it comes to messing with it :)

my airfuel gauge says im running RICH

and i dont know what size injectors they are.

They could be larger injectors that were dialed in with the DSMLink that are now running you pig rich without it.

it ran ok before though. for 2 weeks it ran ok. not GREAT but it was running ok. Now im scared to even drive it.

does that mean i NEED to get DSMlink?

Ya if you are running too rich you can burn through spark plugs really quick. If you have upgraded fuel without some kind of air/fuel converter, your car will run rich. Also a good idea to check your timing marks and make sure everything is lined up right.

ive driven it maybe 40 miles with the new plugs and wires.

I adjusted the Ign timing a week ago

You really need to address the problem that you have with the car running rich. You can either turn the fuel pressure down are you can buy an air/fuel converter and tune it. If it were me, id just turn down the fuel pressure and see if that helps before anything else.

Well if you have an upgraded 255 walbro imguessing the previous owner put bigger injectors and an AFPR(Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator), Is this true?

The more the set screw on top or the afpr is tightened the more fuel pressure you will have, so adjust it and see what happens. DO NOT adjust it any higher than it already is.

Does your AFPR have a gauge on it (or do you have any fuel pressure gauge)?

If so, start the car, let it warm up a bit, then set the AFPR. Do this by disconnecting and capping off the vacuum line that's attached to it. Then you'll loosen the nut that's are the bolt in the top. Then start adjusting the bolt in and out to figure out which way correlates to raising and lowering the pressure. Then you'll want to set your pressure to:

1G auto - Spec 42.7psi (Standard value 41 - 46 psi)
1G manual - Spec 36.3psi (Standard value 36 - 38 psi)

Then tighten down the nut and reconnect the vacuum line (with a zip tie around it). Then let it idle a bit more and watch the fuel pressure to make sure it doesn't change.

Why not take out the fuel rail (after relieving the fuel pressure) and see what injectors you have? It's an easy task and you can just post up some pictures if you're unsure.

And lastly, please fill in your profile. This'll eliminate all the questions as to "do you have this?" and we can help you out better and quicker.

if it was running on dsmlink and now its not, your tune is going to be way off, depending on the size injectors you have you may be able to fix it with a SAFC, and also you need to find out what kind a maf sensor you have on it because if its a GM 3" you need to have a maft to go with it...if you have no idea how to tune i would suggest reading up on it or take it to your nearest shop and pay the money for them to do it

ok

i turned it down. and it drove better. but it was still choppy.

I thought it might be misfiring so i was going to check plugs and wires.

I checked the plugs and accidently put the wires back in the wrong order :)

i realized that after trying to turn it over and corrected it.

now its not starting. it starts to turn over and dies.

this sucks :D
