I replaced my oil return line maybe 2 to 3 months ago because it started leaking oil all over the damn place. My car started smoking from under the hood right now, I look under it and the return line is busted again!!:cry:

I bought it from satan a whole 110 bucks!!

Is there a definate fix to this? One that wont break again? Who else sells this cheaper?

Thanks everyone, a little frustrated right now.:notgood:

Definate fix = stainless braided line with AN fittings

That would have cost you less than a brand new OEM line.
I think you need to figure out why its breaking, not to just keep replacing them over and over and over.

Thanks for the reply, ive replaced it only once before it still had the original one im sure, this one that I bought didnt look very high quality im guessing that was it. Where can I get a SS braided line?

YMMV...

Assuming your manifold/turbo setup is not too wild...
This was a common problem for me when competing. I solved it by safety-wiring the 4 bolts that hold the turbo to the exhaust manifold...6 years later still no oil return line issues on any of my DSMs.

nfernotalon,

In my experience, after numerous heat cycles the turbo likes to work itself loose from the exhaust manifold (especially if the manifold is warped). Drill a 1/8" hole horizontally through each of the heads of the bolts that hold the turbo to the manifold. Get a spool of "safety wire" from your local speed shop or uber-hardware store. It's basically stainless steel wire. Run one end of this wire through all the holes you drilled in the bolt heads. Cut the wire off the spool and twist both loose ends together very tight. As long as the wire is tight throughout, the bolts will never loosen. Therefore the turbo will never loosen (assuming that is your problem).

This wire is also used on brake and drivetrain parts, etc. in the same manner.

Hope this helps.

what part broke?

If its in the middle just cut out the bad section and use rubber hose. I dont' know why people spend so much money on oil setups

Good thinking. Also, if you ever upgrade the turbo to a different maker, you can just buy the appropriate AN fittings and adapt the SS hose to whatever turbo center section you use.

I have an extremepsi "extra" laying around for mitsu drain if you are interested in a quality piece. PM me.
